This traditional family home in Beecroft, NSW, was designed to demonstrate how a custom design home can be elegant, functional and surprisingly affordable. As a Building Designer in Sydney, my goal was to create a warm, timeless residence that supports the everyday needs of a growing family while still offering strong architectural character and layered practicality.

The layout takes full advantage of the northerly winter sun, with expansive front windows that draw natural light deep into the interior throughout the day. At the rear of the home, the open-plan living areas flow directly onto a generous outdoor entertaining space, landscaped gardens and a sparkling in-ground pool, a perfect setting for relaxed family living and year-round entertaining.

Every part of the design focuses on creating a home that feels welcoming, functional and enduring. The interior planning prioritises comfort, intuitive circulation, and flexible family zones, while the traditional façade and detailing deliver a timeless street presence that suits the Beecroft location.
