3. Professional Status
Distinct Innovations is an BDAA (Building Designers Association of Australia) accredited Building Design and Architectural Drafting service. The principal designer Luke Van Jour holds formal qualifications in Architectural Drafting, a Master of Sustainable Design from the University of Sydney and has more than 30 years of industry experience in residential building design and planning approval requirements. Luke Van Jour is not a registered architect and does not provide services as a registered architect.
4. Planning, Certification and Approval Outcomes
Distinct Innovations uses reasonable skill, care and professional experience when preparing designs, drawings, applications and supporting documentation.
However, Distinct Innovations does not guarantee the approval of any Development Application (DA), Complying Development Certificate (CDC), Construction Certificate (CC), Planning Portal submission, heritage application or any other approval, consent, certification or project outcome.
Approval decisions are made by councils, accredited certifiers, government authorities and other third parties over whom Distinct Innovations has no control.
Planning controls, legislation, regulations, building codes, council policies, certifier requirements and government procedures may change from time to time. In some cases, delays between concept design approval and instructions to proceed to subsequent project stages may result in changed requirements that necessitate amendments, redesign, updated consultant reports or additional documentation.
Distinct Innovations accepts no responsibility for approval outcomes, authority decisions, assessment timeframes, legislative changes, policy changes or additional work arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this Website, including text, graphics, images, drawings, logos, branding, design elements and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Distinct Innovations and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
