THE BRIEF
The owners wanted a luxury custom home centred around family living, entertaining and a strong connection to the pool and outdoor areas. The brief called for a practical floor plan, private family spaces, seamless indoor-outdoor flow and a home that responded intelligently to the Western Sydney climate.
THE DESIGN RESPONSE
The pool was strategically positioned to the north-east to capture cooling summer breezes while reducing exposure to harsh south-westerly winds. Large glazed openings frame views across the pool and landscaped gardens, while the home's form provides natural solar shading. High-volume living areas were separated from the bedroom wing to improve acoustic privacy, creating open entertaining spaces without compromising day-to-day family comfort.
PROJECT OUTCOME
Portrush House demonstrates how custom home design can successfully combine climate-responsive planning, luxury interiors and outdoor living. The completed residence delivers excellent natural light, strong indoor-outdoor connection, private family zones and comfortable year-round living, creating a refined lifestyle-focused home within the Twin Creeks Estate setting.
