Project Overview
Riverside House was designed for a spectacular site on the banks of the Nepean River in Penrith. From the first sketch, the goal was to create a custom home that felt directly connected to the water, capturing the views, natural light and cooling river breezes that make this part of Western Sydney so unique.
Central Courtyard & Indoor-Outdoor Living
The heart of the home is a central pool courtyard that acts as a visual anchor from almost every room. Large glass doors open the interior to create a strong relationship between the living areas, verandahs and pool, giving the home a relaxed indoor-outdoor lifestyle that suits both family living and entertaining.
Natural Light, Glazing & Climate Control
A standout design feature is the glass floor on the upper level, which allows natural light to filter deep into the home while creating a direct view down to the pool below. Combined with advanced glazing, careful orientation and material selection, the home was designed for long-term comfort, natural light and sustainable performance in a riverfront setting.
