THE BRIEF
The owners wanted a bespoke riverfront home that fully embraced its unique setting. The brief focused on capturing river views, enhancing indoor-outdoor living and creating a light-filled residence that responded naturally to the climate and lifestyle opportunities of the Nepean River.
DESIGN RESPONSE
A central internal courtyard and swimming pool became the organising element of the home, creating strong visual connections between living spaces, outdoor entertaining areas and the surrounding landscape. Extensive glazing, carefully planned orientation and advanced glazing systems were used to maximise natural light, improve energy efficiency and capture cooling breezes while framing key river views throughout the residence.
PROJECT OUTCOME
Riverside House demonstrates how thoughtful custom home design can unlock the full potential of a riverfront site. The completed residence combines river views, indoor-outdoor living, climate-responsive design and refined architectural detailing to create a timeless family home that is both highly functional and deeply connected to its Penrith riverfront setting.
