Wheeler Heights Knockdown Rebuild
This Wheeler Heights project demonstrates the potential of a professional knockdown rebuild to maximize narrow or sloping sites within the Northern Beaches Council area. Our residential design focuses on capturing natural light and views through a contemporary Sydney coastal aesthetic, featuring open-plan living and premium architectural finishes. By navigating local planning requirements, we delivered a functional, high-end family home that perfectly suits the Northern Beaches lifestyle.

Wheeler Heights House | Northern Beaches
This project on a sloping block in the Northern Beaches Council area involved a complete knockdown rebuild to replace an existing home that the family had outgrown. As the Building Designer and Architectural Draftsman for the project, I managed the custom home design and delivery of all architectural drafting and documentation.
I handled the technical requirements for the project, including:
Drafting architectural plans for a modern, site-specific residence.
Preparation of all supporting documentation for a successful DA application.
Managing council liaison with Northern Beaches Council to ensure regulatory compliance.
Providing documentation for the Construction Certificate (CC) phase.
The design focuses on high-end aesthetics and functional living:
Sustainable Design: The layout incorporates sustainable design principles to maximize natural light and cross-flow ventilation.
Materials: The exterior features a timber-clad facade that balances modern design with the coastal environment.
Functional Layout: Every detail was designed to provide a high-end, site-specific solution for the family's future needs.
