Designing a custom home on this Lake Macquarie site required navigating a complex sloping block, BAL-29 bushfire requirements, and strict mine subsidence controls. The technical planning ensured full compliance without compromising on the custom architectural aesthetic.
The brief required a design that aligned with a commercial developer budget while offering a bespoke alternative to standard project homes. By integrating strategic exterior features, we elevated the street appeal to a custom-tier standard suited for first and second-home buyers in the Newcastle region.
Merealba House marks our fifth successful residential project with this developer client. Overcoming specific site challenges together relies on a long-term partnership built on structural trust, design creativity, and reliable project delivery.
