THE BRIEF
The owners wanted to expand their existing home with premium lifestyle features that would support family living, entertaining and year-round outdoor enjoyment. The brief included a swimming pool, pool cabana, home gym, outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and pergola, all integrated into a cohesive residential design rather than appearing as separate additions.
DESIGN RESPONSE
The building design focused on creating a seamless relationship between the original residence and the new extension works. Careful site planning and architectural drafting ensured the pool, cabana and outdoor entertaining zones complemented the existing home while improving functionality, circulation and visual appeal. Contemporary lifestyle features were incorporated without compromising the established character of the property, resulting in a unified and highly functional family estate.
PROJECT OUTCOME
Mt Vernon House demonstrates how a large-scale home extension can successfully combine architecture, outdoor living and lifestyle-focused design. The completed project delivers expansive entertaining spaces, premium recreational facilities and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor living areas while preserving the appeal of the original residence.
