This award-winning heritage home renovation in Strathfield is all about the balance between preservation and modern living.
We designed a low-profile, contemporary rear addition that creates light-filled, functional spaces while keeping the original street façade completely intact.
The project picked up the National Award for Residential Interiors, highlighting our expertise in creating internal spaces that feel modern but still respect the home's character. For a heritage-listed property, the challenge is always adding enough new floor space to meet a family's needs without clashing with the existing structure. We managed to deliver an outstanding, light-filled extension that functions incredibly well for day-to-day life and entertaining.
One of the best parts of this project was working with the owner, Sia. As someone new to the building process, she needed a designer who could lead the way with clear communication and a professional approach. It was rewarding to hear that the final outcome exceeded her expectations, providing a home her family and guests truly love. For me, this project is a great example of how heritage-sensitive renovations in Strathfield can deliver a high-end, contemporary lifestyle while protecting the history of the suburb.
