THE BRIEF
The owners wanted a large custom acreage home designed for family life, entertaining and extended family accommodation. The brief included six bedrooms, generous living areas and a strong connection between the main residence, swimming pool and outdoor entertaining spaces. A separate self-contained guest cabana was also required to provide private accommodation while remaining connected to the overall design of the property.
THE DESIGN RESPONSE
The home was planned around the kitchen and main family living areas, creating direct views and connections to the saltwater pool, alfresco terrace and firepit area. The residence and separate cabana were incorporated within the overall Development Application and designed as a cohesive property rather than separate elements. The cabana provides flexible guest or multi-generational accommodation while maintaining the architectural character of the main residence. Careful planning of the internal spaces, outdoor areas and circulation allows a home of substantial scale to remain practical and connected for everyday family living.
