Sustainable Design & Material Selection
Sustainability was treated as the backbone of the design rather than an afterthought. The home was designed to show that a bold, dramatic architectural statement could still perform environmentally, using a carefully selected material palette of steel, glass, concrete, recycled timber and natural stone to create a home that felt strong, contemporary and grounded in its setting.
Industrial Inspiration & Residential Warmth
The design drew inspiration from modern industrial and commercial architecture, using raw materials and strong architectural forms to create a distinctive visual identity. To stop the home from feeling too cold or commercial, recycled timbers and natural stone were introduced to soften the overall feel, creating a warmer and more inviting residential atmosphere.
Pool-Focused Layout & Indoor-Outdoor Living
The pool was the starting point for the layout and became the main focal point for the home’s entertaining and outdoor living areas. The design creates a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, allowing the main living spaces, verandah areas and pool zone to work together as one connected lifestyle environment suited to relaxed family living and entertaining.
